Vinyl fences

Vinyl fence installation in Fort Lauderdale

Privacy without the paint brush. PVC fences do not rot in the humidity or feed termites, and a quick rinse keeps them looking new.

What vinyl fence styles do you install?

  • Solid privacy panels, the most requested back-yard style.
  • Semi-private panels with a lattice or spaced-picket top.
  • Picket fences for low front yards.
  • Tan, gray and wood-grain colors in addition to white.

How does vinyl handle South Florida weather?

Vinyl will not rot, rust or attract termites, which is why it is so popular here. The trade-off is wind. A solid vinyl panel catches the full force of a storm, so post spacing, post reinforcement and footing depth matter more than the panel itself. In the shade and humidity, white vinyl can grow mildew; a garden hose and mild soap usually take care of it.

What does a vinyl fence cost?

As of October 2026, Angi lists vinyl at about $15 to $40 per linear foot installed and HomeGuide at about $30 to $60. Taller privacy panels, colors other than white and extra gates push the price up. A survey and engineered drawings are part of a Broward permit and add cost national guides often leave out.

What does the city need to permit a vinyl fence?

Fort Lauderdale's checklist asks for signed and sealed plans from a Florida-licensed architect or engineer for PVC fences, plus a signed and sealed survey. Premanufactured panels may also need a product approval. We pull the permit and schedule the inspections.

Is vinyl right for you?

Choose vinyl if you want full privacy and almost no upkeep. Choose wood if budget matters most. Choose aluminum if you want a fence that lets the wind through.
